About

My name is Katie Wade-Neser. I have a husband named Cj, a foster cat named Scout and a desire to always live and be better than I am now.

If you want to read about the origins of our little project, please go here.

If you want to read the rules of our little project, see below:

1. I will check Facebook once a week (Sundays). This is also the time when I will post my weekly update for this blog.

2. Every week Cj and I will select a project. I will work on said project for at least one hour every day. The project must be something that improves the life of those around us or helps us to learn and grow ourselves.

3. Each blog post we write will not take more than 20-30 minutes to write at the end of the week. I feel that spending significant time blogging would defeat the purpose of trying to be away from my computer. I will announce the next week’s project in our weekly blog post.

4. I reserve the right to tweak or adjust the project as I go. Who knows how this will go??

5. I appreciate any requests of projects or ideas. If you need help with something, let us know! We would love to make it our “project” to help you!

I want to be clear that I do not think Facebook (or any form of social media) is bad. I think it is a great way for me to stay in touch with friends and family around the world. The problem is, however, that for me it is simply addicting. I cross the line from “keeping in touch” to “wasting time” far too often. That is embarrassing to admit but I don’t think I am alone in this problem. I could very easily limit my Facebook time without taking on this project. I am simply using this as a way to motivate myself to improve the life of myself and the life of those around me.

Feel free to join us as we work to become better, more well-rounded people!
